Editorial artwork

At A.k.A I do lots of editorial work and instead of a page per piece I thought I’d post a few of my recent illustrations together. If I didn’t do this there would be too many pages!

One of the things that I love about editorial work is that the subjects are usually extremely varied and the briefs are frequently quite relaxed. This gives me bags of creative freedom to experiment somewhat which is never a bad thing in my book, and one of the things that makes this such a great business to be in. As always, content and concepts are key but execution is also of massive importance. I'm fairly well known for my flowing and abstract illustrations along with my isometric work. I'm delighted to know my style is frequently emulated, after all, immitation is the sincerest form of flattery!!

Each of the illustrations, while being on very different subjects, were created using vector art but were born out of much sketching and roughing out concepts until I arrived at the best ones. Happily they were all met with a very pleased clients, which is my most cherished thing of all!!
