Limited edition Fanta artwork

Sharp or sweet, what’s your treat? I was lucky enough to get to create not just one but two limited edition can artworks for the fizzilicious Fanta. I had quite an open brief over this one except that, obviously, I had to be very mindful of the flavours, one of which was sharp and tangy and one smooth and, well, orangy.

All of the work was created in vector formats to enable scaling etc and additionally the colour pallette was fairly limited. To get around this I used some gorgeous halftone effects that I developed just for this commission to give me some texture and interesting colour transitions. The other technical aspect I had to consider, as with all pack art, was where the product art would join up ensuring the artwork met up perfectly around the seam of the can.

The entire project took me just under two weeks to create and I had such a fun time working on such a great project. Conveying the right messages on pack art of any kind is always so much fun and this proved no exception.
